3. AI Processing of Submitted Text

To generate explanations, the text you submit is sent to third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) for processing. We do not use your texts to train our own models, and our providers are used under terms that prohibit training on this data. Generated explanations are cached — without reference to your account — so that repeated lookups of the same phrase are fast and inexpensive.

4. Data Protection

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. Your data is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and we regularly review our security practices.

5. Third-Party Services

We share data with service providers only as needed to operate Readwell: AI providers for text processing (see above), Google for optional Google sign-in, and our email provider for verification and password-reset messages. We do not sell your personal data.
